What Information does Nector Collect and How is it Used?
Personal Information
Nector will only collect Personal Information that you voluntarily provide to us or our service providers. When you register to use the services and create an account, the Personal Information we may collect includes, among other things, your name, e-mail address, telephone number, and your interest in specific types of products and/or services. If you’re using the Services on your mobile device, you may also choose to provide us with location data.
Real Estate and Financial Information
If you use the Services to manage your real estate portfolio or to apply for a loan or refinancing from a third-party financial institution (“Financial Provider”) you will voluntarily provide us with information needed to provide you with the requested services.
This may include information about properties you currently own, such as the address and purchase date as well as information about any financing you used to purchase the property, such as mortgage provider, mortgage amount, payment schedule and other similar information (“Real Estate Information”).
You may also provide us with information requested by a Financial Provider in order to evaluate whether to provide you with a requested loan or refinancing (“Financial Information). Financial Information may include, but is not limited to, your legal name, address, past names, current employment, past employment, assets, debts, bank accounts, copies of W2s or other tax documentation, and other similar information. Some of the documents containing Financial Information may include your Social Security Number. Purchase Information
Nector uses Stripe to process your payments when you purchase a subscription to the Services. Your payment information is subject to the privacy policy and terms of use of Stripe. We recommend you review these policies before uploading any credit card or other financial information to Stripe. Nector does not have access to your credit card information from Stripe and does not store this information on our servers.
Non-Personal Information
Like most website operators, Nector collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request when visitors use the Services. Nector’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Nector’s visitors use the Services. From time to time, Nector may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its Services. Nector also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to the Services. Nector may share Personal Information, including Real Estate Information and Financial Information with certain third parties such as our agents, service providers and other representatives acting on our behalf. The third parties with whom we conduct business are authorized to use your information only to perform the service for which they are hired. They are required to abide by the terms of our Privacy Policy including taking reasonable measures to ensure your personal information is secure. On occasion, we contract with trusted third-party providers who would receive your Personal Information and conduct anonymized aggregate analyses of the data. Through our contractual arrangements, we require our contracting partners to maintain adequate security of Personal Information provided to them. We do not permit such third parties to sell your Personal Information to other third parties.
Financial Information
When using the Services, you may expressly authorize us to grant permission to access your Financial Information to the Financial Provider(s) of your choosing. We will only allow access to your Financial Information to Financial Providers upon your express instruction. Please be aware that the Financial Provider will be able to use your Financial Information in the same manner as if you provided the information directly to the Financial Provider and will be subject to the privacy policy of the Financial Provider. Our Data Retention Criteria
The period during which we store your personal information varies depending on the purpose for the processing. For example, we store personal information needed to provide you with products and services, or to facilitate transactions you have requested, for so long as you are a customer of Nector. We store your personal information for marketing purposes until you have opted-out of receiving further direct marketing communications in accordance with applicable law. We currently do not take action in response to these signals.
